FAQs

Are latex jackets easy to put on compared to tight latex pants or full suits?

Yes, significantly. Since jackets open fully via a front zipper, they generally do not require a dressing aid for the torso. Focus lubrication only on the inside of the sleeves to ensure your arms slide in smoothly.

Do these jackets/coats have a lining inside for easier wear and added comfort?

Most latex outerwear does not include a traditional fabric lining as it would reduce the distinct latex feel. However, an interior treated with talcum powder or a bonded inner layer makes them easier to wear directly against the skin.

How should I handle the zippers, snaps, and metal hardware on the jacket?

Avoid direct contact between the latex and any metal hardware when storing, as metal can cause permanent discoloration. When zipping, lubricate the zipper path frequently. Always open and close snaps gently to prevent tearing the surrounding latex.

Is a latex coat suitable for providing warmth in cold weather?

Latex offers excellent wind and water resistance, which helps to retain body heat. However, it is not an insulator. For cold weather, we recommend wearing thermal layers underneath or choosing a jacket made from a thicker [e.g., 1.0mm] gauge of latex.
